Warren Faidley was the first, full-time, storm chasing journalist, professional photographer and extreme weather adventurer.

Warren is a 25-year veteran of chasing some of the planet's most violent weather, including over 1,500 individual storms and natural disasters. He is a best selling author, award winning photographer, international lecturer and a foremost severe weather survival expert. He is one of the few individuals who has experienced both an F5 tornado and a category five hurricane.

You have likely seen Warren featured on television specials and news programs like The O'Reilly Factor, CNN, The Discovery Channel, National Geographic and The Weather Channel.

Warren is a member of the American Meteorological Society, The National Eagle Scout Association, and is a Tactical EMT.

The Arizona monsoon begins in early July and runs through August. Some dates are reserved well in advance, so please book soon to reserve the most popular weeks.

We offer group discounts for corporate events.


Basic Information about our monsoon storm chase tours

We are based out of Tucson, Arizona for our thunderstorm / photography expeditions.

You arrive on Friday, morning or early afternoon.

Friday afternoon: Meeting and introduction. We will meet about 1 hour before our scheduled departure time. The departure time will be sometime after 4:00 PM depending on target location.

Saturday day. You have the option to relax, go sight seeing or enjoy a personal afternoon photography seminar / luncheon with Warren.

Saturday evening after 5:00 PM - We depart to chase monsoon thunderstorms.

Sunday: Open for sight seeing (on your own) and departure.

Prices do not include inbound or outbound transportation, lodging, sightseeing fees or meals. Lodging can be arranged for an extra fee. A 50% deposit is required to hold a date. (See terms of deposit listed below).

Monsoon Expeditions Reservation Instructions

1: Before forwarding any deposit, please email our office to confirm the dates you are requesting to make sure they are still available. Some flexibility on listed dates may be possible. If you have any questions we will be happy to assist you. You can reach our office at 520 505-8702. Please leave a message about your inquiry and someone will return your call.


Deposits: A 50% percent deposit of the total cost is required immediately to hold a chase period. No dates are reserved until the deposit is received and cleared. We will place a courtesy hold on dates for 48 hours. The final 50% deposit for all chase dates is due 30 days in advance of your scheduled expedition. In the event you book your expedition at least 30 days before the scheduled start date, the separate 50% deposit and the final amount must be paid at once.

For deposits: We accept checks, direct bank transfers and all major credit cards or cash securely paid via Western Union Wire Services. We will supply specific billing details once your requested dates are confirmed.

Cancellation and rescheduling terms: In the event of a cancellation, in most situations, no refunds will be afforded. We will attempt to re-schedule your expedition for the same or following year. In some rare circumstances we will issue a refund of the deposit and / or the entire fee if paid, if the reason for your cancellation is justified and beyond your control. Past volunteers scrapbook



We use advanced, real time GPS tracking and live Doppler Radar systems to chase in a safe and productive manner. Doppler radar has three levels of redundancies for back-ups. We also use satellite, wireless and hard copy mapping.
